How To Make Healthy Oat Snackles
These yummy and healthy oat snackles make perfect healthy dessert treats and are also ideal for packing in lunch boxes. Some might say they are a little like having muesli without the bowl, but we think they are way more exotic than that! Here is how to make our favorite oat snackles, oh, and guess what? They are egg and dairy free too, so if you are vegan or are allergic to eggs or dairy in general, they are a good choice.
Healthy Oat Snackles Recipe
Yield: Makes 6 servings | Prep time: 15 minutes | Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients: A cup of rolled oats | a cup of oat flour | a third cup of raisins | quarter cup of finely shredded, unsweetened coconut | a teaspoon of baking powder | a teaspoon of cinnamon | a teaspoon of sea salt | a couple of pinches of freshly grated nutmeg | half a cup of unsweetened applesauce | half a cup of pure maple syrup | three tablespoons of non-dairy chocolate chips |
Procedure: To prepare these healthy oat snackles, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil or a parchment paper sheet. Mix the oats, hemp seeds, oat flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl and stir the mixture well. Now, add the maple syrup, applesauce, and the chocolate chips and stir until it’s well-blended. Using a cookie scoop, transfer mounds of the prepared batter to the lined baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove them from the oven and allow them time to cool properly.
